According to the project, the total number of toilets available at schools is 2,341. Through inspection, the toilets are no longer in use, and there are 101 new toilets that need to be repaired, which are 427 toilets with a total amount of more than 60 billion VND. The People's Committee of Ca Mau province requires that toilets must be invested in accordance with the plan, synchronized with the electricity and clean water system to ensure effective use.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan - Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee - said that through on-site inspection, many schools are still facing difficulties, especially in upgrading classrooms, repairing campuses, cleaning and renovating toilets to ensure good conditions for students in the new school year.
According to Mr. Luan, boarding school is 2 sessions/day but the toilet is not clean and the drinking water source is unsanitary, which is very dangerous. From this perspective, Ca Mau province continues to organize reviews and general inspections of the material needs of all schools in the area to have a synchronous and effective investment direction. Schools must meet 3 criteria of the province: Clean toilets, clean drinking water and boarding for students. The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province affirmed: If any school fails to achieve the requirements, the head will be responsible.
