Ensuring teaching conditions for 2 sessions/day
Information from the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau said that in the new school year, the province will arrange and assign to ensure the ratio of classrooms/class, facilities, number of students/class, teachers/class... to ensure the ratio and structure of teachers to teach all subjects, educational activities and organize teaching and learning 2 sessions/day according to regulations.
In the primary school system alone, 317/317 schools organize 2 sessions/day (reaching 100%); 43 schools organize boarding schools with 480 classes, with 11,921/164,289 students reaching a rate of 7.26%. The number of 6-year-old children in grade 1: 28,410/28,411 accounts for 99.99%, compared to the same period, increasing by 0.04% (in the 2023-2024 school year, it is 99.95%).
The school's education plans, teaching plans for subjects, educational activities and lesson plans are proactive, flexible, autonomous, and self-responsible. Educational institutions arrange effective program implementation time to ensure scientific and pedagogical aspects, not putting pressure on students; be flexible in organizing and implementing teaching subjects and educational activities in accordance with the actual conditions of the school and the students.
For schools with separate locations that are not qualified to organize 2 sessions/day, on the basis of teaching correctly and fully the content and duration of compulsory subjects according to the provisions of the program, principals of educational institutions proactively determine the content, choose the form of organization, allocate appropriate time for elective subjects, consolidation activities and other educational activities.
The education sector also acknowledged: Teaching facilities and equipment in some schools still face many difficulties and inadequacies, not meeting the requirements for implementing the 2018 General Education Program, in which, new general education institutions have implemented equipment procurement for grades 1, 2 and 6, and 10.
The economic life of a part of the population is facing many difficulties, so the mobilization of students to go to school, pay attention to education of moral qualities, and learning awareness of a part of the students is not high. Although the qualifications of the teaching staff have been improved, the teaching quality of a part of the teachers is not commensurate; the skills of using information technology of a part of the management and teaching staff are still limited.
