Hanoi National University of Education on July 15 said that 26 schools have used the results of the competency assessment test organized by the school for admission in 2025.

2025 is the fourth year that Hanoi National University of Education has organized a competency assessment exam. Candidates register for some exams in the subjects of Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography.
The content of the exams closely follows the 2018 general education program and the teaching orientation, the assessment test of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The exam combines multiple-choice and essay questions with a score ratio depending on the exam structure; assessing the level of understanding of core knowledge and reasoning, analysis, evaluation, problem-solving and creativity.
The types of multiple-choice questions include choosing one of the 4 options, choosing true/ false, short answer, similar to the format of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
On the evening of July 9, Hanoi National University of Education announced the separation table of scores for the competency assessment test of nearly 17,500 candidates. Candidates are divided into groups according to subject combinations.
For example, candidates with 27 points in the A00 combination (Math, Physics, Chemistry) are in the 0.5% group of this year's exam, 26 points in the 1% group. With the A01 combination (Math, Ly Anh), the contestant with 25.4 points was in the top 0.5%.

In addition to letting candidates know where they are in the total, this classification table is also data for schools to use the results of this exam to review and convert scores between methods according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
