The information was released at the press conference of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee providing information related to the 2026 high school graduation exam in the area.
At the meeting, reporting on the organization of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam in Tuyen Quang province, Mr. Hoang Minh Canh - Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training said that the whole province has more than 18,000 candidates taking the exam, 92 units registered to take the exam with 62 exam sites and 929 exam rooms. The exam has a total of 3612 people on duty.
According to Mr. Canh, the direction was implemented in accordance with the guidelines, with a provincial-level steering committee, and a commune-level steering committee was established to coordinate in organizing the exam. Members of the steering committee were specifically assigned.
Regarding the direction of the review, immediately after receiving information about unusual Math exam results, Mr. Hoang Minh Canh said that the Department of Education and Training had organized a review of the entire exam supervision process from receiving exam papers, handing over exam papers, preserving and using exam papers, assigning exam supervisors, counting, sealing, records, and camera data at the exam site.
In which, focusing on analyzing exam results, comparing exam results with centralized transcripts from exam score 9 and above. The review results showed that the units implemented the correct regulations and exam supervision procedures. Regarding exam supervision activities at Tuyen Quang High School, there are irregularities, which are being investigated by the police agency.
The Department has met with parents to objectively inform about the incident, listen to their thoughts and aspirations. 322 parents and independent candidates agreed to re-take the Math exam, the exam site of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School," Mr. Hoang Minh Canh informed.
On the basis of ensuring the aspirations and rights of students, the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province has advised and proposed to the Ministry of Education and Training to re-organize the Math exam at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School exam site.
Also at the meeting, Colonel Tran Tuan Anh - Head of the Staff Department (Tuyen Quang Provincial Police) said that up to now, the Investigation Agency has initiated a case and prosecuted 4 defendants for the crime of Abusing positions and powers while performing official duties.
The prosecuted defendants include: Tran Thi Thu Hang - Vice Principal of Nguyen Van Huyen High School (Tuyen Quang province), Head of the exam site of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School; Nguyen Ha Duy - Math teacher, Tuyen Quang Specialized High School, Secretary of the exam site of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School.
The remaining 2 defendants cannot be identified because they are in the process of investigation and verification to clarify the acts," Colonel Tran Tuan Anh informed.
Providing more information about the defendants' actions, Colonel Tran Tuan Anh said that defendant Tran Thu Thi Thu Hang was responsible for operating the exam site of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School but directed and oriented some invigilators to create conditions for candidates to take the Math exam in violation of regulations.
According to Hang's instructions, defendant Nguyen Ha Duy directly entered the exam room to guide and stuff papers for some candidates to do the Math exam.
Initially, it was determined that the subjects' actions stemmed from achievement motives," Colonel Tran Tuan Anh said.
