The information that Hanoi Medical University is about to build a facility in Bac Ninh has recently received great attention from readers.
Accordingly, the facility in Bac Ninh of Hanoi Medical University is expected to have a student scale of about 3,000 people, a practice hospital with about 1,000 beds, and a total investment of 3,150 billion VND.
According to the reporter's investigation, previously, the Hanoi Medical University Building Project in Bac Ninh province was introduced by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province in a document dated July 4, 2019 with an area of about 30 hectares, belonging to the Bac Ninh Science and Technology Application Research Training Area (Zone No. 12, Lim Urban Area Expansion, Tien Du District).
On July 25, 2024, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province issued a Decision approving the Project to Adjust the Urban Zoning Plan at a scale of 1/2,000 of Lim Urban Area Expansion, Tien Du District (Zone No. 12).
Accordingly, the planning scale is 1,223.14 hectares. The study area for zoning planning belongs to Noi Due commune, Lien Bao, Lim town (Tien Du district) and Vo Cuong ward (Bac Ninh city).
The plan identifies this area as an administrative - political center; a commercial center, focusing on functions such as culture, squares and other public works; a center for research, application of science and technology; an ecological resort and entertainment service urban area. Develop the space of the royal court culture, Lim festival, attract cultural and ecological tourism activities associated with the Lim hill complex and the Tieu Tuong river.
According to the reporter's research, in the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form university urban areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi Capital to move to or build branches in the province.
Currently, the Hanoi Law University campus 2 project is under construction with an area of nearly 28 hectares in Tu Son City (Bac Ninh province), with a total investment of more than 1,700 billion VND.
The project to build a facility in Bac Ninh of the following schools: University of Pharmacy, Foreign Trade University, University of Natural Resources and Environment is also in the process of implementation.
On February 14, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan also signed and issued a Plan to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo and the Government's Action Program on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
According to this plan, Bac Ninh will build a series of projects: University urban area, scientific research areas and institutes to serve the development of science, technology and innovation with a total area of 1,300 hectares.
