The data on admission scores for the regular university system in 2023 and 2024 shows high stability in many majors, especially key majors such as Medicine, Dentistry - Dentistry.
In 2023 and 2024, the Medicine and Dentistry will continue to maintain its leading position in terms of benchmark scores at Hanoi Medical University, both exceeding the threshold of 27 points. Although slightly decreased compared to last year, this score still reflects fierce competition to study two majors that have long been attractive, have open career opportunities and play a key role in the health system.
In the remaining majors, the benchmark scores recorded slight fluctuations between the two years. Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Experimental Technology and Traditional Medicine all increased their scores, showing stable, even increased interest in these fields. Meanwhile, the Preventive Medicine and Midwifery major has slightly decreased in the benchmark scores, but still maintained a high level compared to the general level of universities.
In 2025, Hanoi Medical University plans to open 2 new training majors, including Social Work and Medical Imaging Technology.
In 2024, the school will also open 3 majors: Psychology, Midwifery and Dental prosthetics. That was also the first time the school used the combination of C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and D01 (Math, Literature, English) to admit students to a number of majors, in addition to the traditional combination of B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology).
Regarding the admission method, the school plans to keep it stable as last year, including: direct admission, based on high school graduation exam scores, admission combined with graduation exam scores with international language certificates, based on the competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University.
