At the National Economics University, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the Training Management Department, said that looking at the scores of this year's exam, it can be seen that the admission scores to schools may be lower than in 2024, especially in combinations with Math and English. The general decrease, according to Dr. Duc's prediction, is around 2-3 points.
For the National Economics University, the benchmark score can be reduced by 1-2 points, depending on each major/ program. With other admission methods other than considering high school graduation exam scores, according to Mr. Duc, the admission scores between these methods must be converted to match the high school graduation exam scores, so the admission scores may also tend to be lower than in 2024.
Last year, at level 30, the benchmark score for Public Relations was the highest at the school with 28.18 points. Next is the E-commerce industry with 28.02 points. The remaining majors are from 26.57 and above. With a scale of 40, the highest admission threshold is 37.49 in the Marketing Communications industry.
At the University of Commerce, MSc. Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy Head of the Communications - Admissions Department, predicts that the admission score this year will also decrease by about 1-2 points compared to last year.

However, according to Mr. Trung, the admission score depends on many factors. For example, this year, universities do not have separate quotas for each admission method. Therefore, the admission score depends on the number of candidates taking the admission based on the ability assessment test scores, thinking assessment or admission combined with international certificates and academic records. "If the number of candidates registering for this feature is large, the admission score will not decrease much; if the registration is small, the score will decrease relatively" - Mr. Trung said.
In addition, the admission score also depends on the attraction of the industry. For majors that are less interested in by candidates, the benchmark score may decrease more deeply than for "hot" majors that are much interested in at school.
Last year, the highest benchmark score of the school belonged to the field of Commercial Marketing and E-commerce with 27 points. Followed by Logistics and Supply Chain Management with 26.9 points. These are also the three industries that have regularly led in recent years.
The University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi also forecasts the benchmark scores for 6 regular domestic majors, including Economics, Finance - Banking, Development Economics, Business Administration, International Economics and Accounting from 22 points, calculated on a 30-point scale.
Last year, the admission score for the University of Economics ranged from 33.1 to 33.62 points, the highest being the Finance - Banking major.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, also predicted that the admission scores for some majors of the academy in 2025 will decrease compared to last year.
Accordingly, the standard score range is predicted to be wide from 22 to 28, not as concentrated as last year (from 26.03 to 26.85 on the 30 scale and from 34.35 to 36.15 on the 40 scale). Some majors may decrease compared to last year by 3-4 points.
However, for some industries with great attraction and a need for high-quality human resources, the benchmark score will still be at a high level.
In recent years, the admission score to the Academy of Finance has often been divided into two scales of 30 and 40 points. On a 40-point scale with an English score multiplied by a coefficient of 2, the admission score for majors is about 33-36, an average of 8.2-9 points for recent graduation. In which, the "hottest" industry is Customs and Logistics. On a scale of 30, the benchmark score is usually over 25.45.
