On the evening of July 4, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the exam results of each candidate and the admission scores for grade 10 this year.
Accordingly, the admission scores for grade 10 of public high schools are as follows:

This year, Hanoi has more than 103,000 students competing for 81,000 public schools, with an admission rate of 78.6%.
Compared to 127,000 grade 9 students in Hanoi in the 2024-2025 school year, the rate of students entering public grade 10 after junior high school is about 64%. This figure will increase by about 3% compared to 2024, corresponding to about 1,500 classes.
A new point in the organization of the 10th grade entrance exam for public high school in the 2025-2026 school year of Hanoi city is that the exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 will be announced on the same day.
In previous years, the admission score was usually announced a few days after the exam score.
It is expected that by July 8 at the latest, schools will receive exam results to issue to students.
Students who wish to be re-examined will submit an application for re-examination from July 4 to July 10.
From July 10 to July 12, admission students must confirm their admission.
Immediately after getting points, any candidate who is wondering about the scores of the subjects can submit an application for re-evaluation to re-score.
On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional admission scores to public grade 10 (if any). From July 19 to July 22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).
Regarding the method of calculating admission scores, instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years, this year, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a scale of 10 and not multiplied by coefficient.
This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects, encouraging students to study all subjects equally.
The formula for calculating admission scores (DXT) for grade 10 non-professional public high school in Hanoi in 2025 is as follows:
dXT = Audit + language score + foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).
