The 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hai Duong province will take place on June 3 and 4, and on June 5 for specialized subjects. Accordingly, the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Hai Duong province has some new points compared to the previous school year.
Regarding the High School Admissions Regulations:
The high school admission work for the 2025-2026 school year is implemented according to the Regulations on the entrance exams for junior high schools and high schools issued under Circular 30/2024 dated December 30, 2024 of the Minister of Education and Training. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee decided to establish a Steering Committee for High School Admissions and approve the high school admission plan.
Register for high school entrance exams online, if you do not meet the conditions for online registration, register for the exam directly or by post (Hai Duong has organized online registration for many years).
Regarding the exam subjects, candidates take exams for Math, Literature and 1 subject or a third exam. The third exam subject or exam is chosen by the Department of Education and Training for one of the following two options:
The third exam subject is selected from subjects assessed by scores in the general education program at the secondary level, ensuring that the same third exam subject is not chosen for more than 3 consecutive years.
The third exam is a combined exam of some subjects selected from the subjects assessed by scores in the general education program at the secondary level.
Regarding admission, the admission score is the total score of the subjects with the same coefficient of 1. Last year, Hai Duong regulated the Math and Literature subjects with a coefficient of 2, the third subject with a coefficient of 1.
Regarding direct admission, priority, and additional incentive points:
Direct admission for students of boarding schools for ethnic minorities; students who are ethnic minorities; students with disabilities; students who won national prizes in the Ministry of Education and Training or the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with ministries and ministerial-level agencies organized on a national scale in culture, arts, and sports; science and technology research competitions, high school students who won prizes in international competitions decided by the Minister of Education and Training (The old regulations did not specifically regulate the agency or unit organizing the competition/exam, only candidates need to achieve national prizes)
Priority regime, the bonus points for the 3 priority groups are 2.0; 1.5 and 1.0 respectively (the old regime was 3.0; 2.5 and 2.0 points).
The subjects receiving additional encouragement points are students who have won provincial prizes in exams organized by the Department of Education and Training or in coordination with departments and branches across the province for cultural, artistic, sports and scientific and technical research competitions organized at the national level. The bonus point for the first prize is 1.5; the second prize is 1.0; the third prize is 0.5 points (the old regulation did not stipulate the addition of incentive points for the above subjects).
For the admission to high school for specialties, it will be implemented as the admission for the 2024 - 2025 school year, in which the new point is not to add additional points of encouragement for candidates who win the provincial-level cultural excellent student award for candidates taking the entrance exam to high schools for specialties.
The number of grade 9 secondary school students in the province is 30,393; the number of students registered to take the exam (expected) is 24,000 candidates (last year was 20,924 candidates).
