On the evening of July 1st, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) announced the minimum admission score for 2026 is 19 points - a total of three high school graduation exam subjects, not multiplied by a coefficient, including regional and subject priority points.
With the HSA competency assessment test result consideration method, the admission score will be converted to the equivalent of a 30-point scale and the floor score will also be 19.
For other admission methods, member schools also convert equivalent amounts, and then announce them to candidates.
For teacher training, law and health majors, member schools will determine and announce the floor score later, not lower than the general level of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the Ministry of Education and Training.
In 2026, Hanoi National University will recruit nearly 21,400 full-time university students for 166 majors and programs. Of which, about 17,000 students will study in Hoa Lac.
Candidates with foreign language certificates are converted to foreign language scores for consideration in combination with other subjects in the admission combination. IELTS 5.5 is counted as 8 points in English. IELTS from 7.5 or higher, candidates are counted as 10 points.
