According to Dr. Le Anh Duc - Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University, the admission scores for majors and training programs of the school in 2026 are forecast to fluctuate from 23 to 28.5/30 points.
The general trend is that the benchmark score may decrease slightly by about 0.25 points compared to 2025. However, with some majors attracting a large number of candidates such as Logistics and Supply Chain Management, International Business, E-commerce, Marketing..., the benchmark score is still likely to increase from 0.25-0.5 points.
Dr. Le Anh Duc said that this forecast is made based on factors. First, the score distribution of the high school graduation exam along with the results of competency assessment and thinking assessment exams. Second, candidates are only allowed to register a maximum of 15 aspirations, and schools are only allowed to convert IELTS certificates and equivalent certificates or add bonus points according to regulations.
In addition, this year the National Economics University increased about 500 targets compared to last year and opened 15 new majors and training programs, contributing to reducing competitive pressure in some majors. In addition, enrollment data from recent years shows that the school's benchmark scores are relatively stable.
Dr. Le Anh Duc noted that this is only a reference forecast for candidates to have more basis for choosing a major. The official benchmark score still depends on many factors such as the number of registered aspirations, targets for each major and the admission score of candidates.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) predicts that the benchmark scores of top schools and majors with great attraction may decrease from 1-3 points, in which majors admitted using the C00 combination (Literature, History, Geography) are forecast to have the strongest decrease.
According to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc, the reason stems from the change in the score distribution of component subjects. This year's Literature subject only has about 35% of exam papers achieving 7 points or higher, while in previous years this rate fluctuated around 62-65.4%.
For Geography, if in previous years there were many perfect scores and high excellent scores, this year the rate of exam papers achieving 7 points or higher is only more than 2%. Meanwhile, in History, there are over 30% of exam papers below average.
I predict that this year, top schools and'hot' majors may reduce benchmark scores by about 1-3 points. In particular, schools applying for the C00 combination will have a clearer reduction. For the remaining combinations, the fluctuation range is about 1 point and the benchmark score level may be stable in the range of 15-20 points," Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc assessed.
According to experts' assessment, the benchmark scores in 2026 are likely to have differentiation between admission combinations instead of simultaneously increasing like some previous years.
