Accordingly, the Academy requires all candidates to have an average of 6.5 points or more in the subjects of Math, Literature, Foreign Language and History for all 3 years of high school. At the same time, the conduct of all 3 years is quite good or better.
Regarding the threshold for ensuring input quality, that is, the admission floor score based on the high school graduation exam score, the school requires majors/specializations in group 1, group 3 and group 4 to be 25 points.
This is a group of majors in Journalism and Publishing (group 1), History (group 3) and Communications, Public Relations, International Relations... (group 4). The above floor score is the total score of 3 subjects multiplied by the coefficient of 2 main subjects in the group (group 1 Literature, group 2 History and group 3 English).
As for group 2, majors in the Political Theory block, the floor score is 18 points. This level is the total score of 3 subjects without coefficient. Priority scores for subjects and areas are also calculated for all industry groups.
Meanwhile, in the combined admission method, candidates admitted to the Press and Publishing group (group 1) must have an average score of 7.0 or higher for 6 semesters in Literature in high school.
In majors/specializations in groups 4, 2nd major in Sociology; Publishing major, Publishing major in Editory in Group 1, candidates need to have an average score of 7.0 or higher for 6 semesters of high school English.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication also announced a conversion table equivalent to the standard score between admission methods. This year, the school has 3 admission methods: considering high school graduation exam scores, considering academic records and considering combined admission.
The school further informed that the admission scores for the methods will be converted to a scale of 30 for majors in group 2 and converted to a scale of 40 for majors in groups 1, 3 and 4. Details are as follows:


In 2025, the Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to enroll a total of 2,400 students, of which 2,050 students are for full-time university admissions with the first university degree and the rest for the second degree program.
The school enrolls 32 majors, specializing in training and is divided into 4 groups: Journalism and Publishing; majors in political theory and social work, economics; History; majors in communications, advertising, international relations and other majors.
Last year, the tuition fee of the Academy of Journalism and Communication was 506,900 VND/credit, applied to mass programs. The majors of Advertising, Professional Public Relations, International Political and Communications Relations, Foreign Information, English Language, Sociology, Publishing Editor earned higher at VND 1,058,200/credit.
Political theory lecturer training majors (Philosophy, Scientific Socialism, Political Economy, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh Thought) are exempted from tuition fees.

Last year's benchmark score of the school was 28.25 points, C15 combination, Multimedia Communications major, on a 30-point scale. Followed by the mass media industry, also in this group, with 28.05%.
The Party Building and State Administration sector takes 24.68 points, the A16 combination (Math, Literature and Natural Sciences), the lowest on this scale. Other majors are almost not below 25.
With a scale of 40, the highest admission threshold is 38.12 points, History major, C19 combination (Literature, Civic Education and History). English, group D72 (Literature, Natural Sciences, English) is the lowest at 34.7 points.
