On the afternoon of January 19, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the results of the National Excellent Student Exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
At the competition, Dien Bien province had 27 students win prizes - the highest number of prizes ever of the province's Education and Training sector (2024-2025 academic year achieved 22 prizes).
In 27 prizes, there was 1 first prize, 4 second prizes, 8 third prizes, 14 consolation prizes. 9/10 participating subjects won prizes, notably Math had 1 first prize, 1 second prize; History, Geography and Chinese all had second prizes.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Dien Bien province has 98 students participating in the National Excellent Student Selection Exam for High School, with 10 subjects. This is the 2nd consecutive year Dien Bien has participated with the maximum number of students and exam subjects according to regulations.
The province's national excellent student team has 93 students who are students of Le Quy Don Specialized High School; 5 students from schools: Muong Ang Ethnic Minority Boarding High School, Na Son Ethnic Minority Boarding High School, Dien Bien Phu High School and Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding High School.
For the Education and Training sector of Lai Chau province, there are 20 students who won prizes at the National Excellent Student Competition for the 2025-2026 school year.
In which, there are 2 second prizes in History; 6 third prizes in Chemistry, Literature, History; 12 consolation prizes.
Compared to the 2024-2025 Exam, the results of this year's Exam have a clear increase in number. Last year, Lai Chau had 13 students winning prizes.
In the 2025-2026 National Excellent Student Exam, Lai Chau province has 63 students from 8 teams participating in the exam. All candidates participating in the team are students of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.
