On December 14, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Luong Van Sinh - Principal of Thanh Hoa College of Tourism and Commerce (located in Quang Phu Ward, Thanh Hoa Province) said that after the incident of students fighting in class, the school held a Disciplinary Council meeting and decided to suspend students involved in beating up their friends.

"The school allowed the two students to directly participate in beating their friend for a week off to serve the investigation of the police. In addition, some other students in the related group will also be considered for disciplinary action according to regulations" - Mr. Sinh informed.
According to Mr. Sinh, at the time of the incident, the school was in the process of repairing the facilities and had completed school, so the teacher was not present in class. Upon receiving the information, the school requested homeroom teachers and the training department to urgently verify and report the incident.
Also according to the Principal of Thanh Hoa College of Tourism and Commerce, representatives of the school's leaders visited and encouraged the female student who was beaten. At the same time, the school asked the family and students who participated in beating the friend to go to the hospital to apologize and commit to pay the entire cost of treatment for the female student.
Previously, according to the family of Ms. Pham Thi Th. (residing in Nam Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province), the mother of female student N.T.Y.N. (born in 2010; 10th grade student at Thanh Hoa College of Tourism and Commerce), on the evening of December 9, she received a number of videos recording her daughter being "beaten up" in class in the afternoon of the same day.
"After that, the family saw that the child was showing signs of mental panic and complaining of headaches, so they went to the Quang Phu ward authorities to report the incident and took him to the hospital for examination" - Ms. Th. said.
According to female student N., in the early afternoon of December 9, when the teacher assigned him to distribute books to classmates, a small conflict arose. After that, he was beaten by girls named T., M. and L. (in the same class) right in the middle of the class.
Clipes provided by the family show that female student N. was beaten many times in class and there is a clip recording the scene of her continuing to be beaten outside of class. What made the family upset was that in the clips there were many students witnessing it but no one tried to stop it, some even trampled after them.
"After the family reported to the authorities, the school and parents of T. and L. went to the house to talk and said they would pay all hospital fees. However, the family is worried that their daughter was beaten many times, if not treated strictly, the incident could recur" - Ms. Th. expressed.
Currently, the police are continuing to verify and clarify the case.
