On December 11, a representative of the Thanh Hoa College of Tourism and Commerce (Quang Phu Ward, Thanh Hoa Province) confirmed that a 10th grade female student of the school was "beaten up" by some friends in the classroom and is currently being handled by the police.

According to the family of Ms. Pham Thi Th. (residing in Nam Sam Son ward, Thanh Hoa province), the mother of female student N.T.Y.N. (born in 2010; 10th grade student at Thanh Hoa College of Tourism and Commerce) - a female student beaten by a group in the middle of the classroom, on the evening of December 9, she received a number of videos recording her daughter being "beaten up" at school in the afternoon of the same day.
"Immediately after that, the family saw that the child was showing signs of mental panic and complaining of a headache. The family went to the authorities of Quang Phu ward, where the child was studying, to report the incident and take the child to the hospital for examination" - Ms. Th. said.
According to Ms. Th., through information shared by her daughter, at the beginning of the afternoon of December 9, the teacher assigned N. to distribute books to her classmates and had a small conflict. After that, N. was beaten by girls named T., M. and L. (in the same class) right in the middle of the class.
According to clips provided by the family, female student N. was beaten many times in class and a clip recorded the beating outside. What made the family upset was that in the clips, although many classmates (both male and female) witnessed it, no one tried to stop them, even doing a dua.
"After the incident, the family reported it to the authorities, but the school and parents of T. and L. went to the house to talk, and said they would pay all hospital fees. However, the family is worried that their daughter has been beaten many times, if the children are not treated strictly, the incident could happen again" - Ms. Th. said.
The representative of the Thanh Hoa College of Tourism and Commerce said that after learning about the incident, the school sent a Disciplinary Board to invite parents and students involved to work to rectify, and at the same time requested relatives of the female students to come and apologize to N's family and take responsibility for hospital fees.
"Currently, the police have stepped in to handle the children according to regulations. The school will take measures to discipline students throughout the school to avoid similar incidents" - the school representative informed.
