At the meeting, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son assessed that after nearly 40 years of innovation and especially 10 years of implementing fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training according to the orientation of Resolution No. 29, the education and training sector has had strong changes and achieved many important results.
The whole country has completed universal education for 5-year-old children, universal primary and secondary education; general education has changed dramatically, shifting positively from mainly equipping knowledge to comprehensively developing learners' qualities, abilities and skills.
Schools have changed from the external form to the internal quality of education. Teachers are more proactive and creative, students are more confident and proactive, teaching and assessment methods are fundamentally innovated. The quality of key education is increasingly improved. Continuing education is diversified in content and form. Movements to compete in learning, encourage learning, encourage talents, and build a learning society are implemented with attention.
Teaching and learning methods, testing, and assessment of educational quality have been innovated in a modern direction, becoming increasingly more practical and effective. Teaching facilities and equipment have been improved, initially meeting the requirements of educational innovation.
The education and training sector is also a pioneer in digital transformation. In the 3 years 2022-2024, complete the construction of 100% of the education sector's databases from preschool to general education;
For the first time, successfully connecting the education sector database with national databases on population and insurance and implementing 100% online payment of university admission fees and cashless tuition payments; piloting the implementation of electronic transcripts for primary schools in 2023 and implementing mass electronic transcripts for general education from 2024.
These results are thanks to the attention and direction of the Party and State leaders, the investment and attention of the whole society, and the efforts of teachers and all students...
However, the Minister also frankly acknowledged that our country's education is still facing many big challenges from innovation, surpassing oneself, and denying oneself as a transformation for development.
"Educational innovation must change old habits, ways of thinking, ways of thinking and doing, overcome limits to develop breakthroughs.
"If we want education to overcome challenges, the education sector, especially the team of teachers, needs to make great efforts and be constantly creative. Only by finding the right and accurate solutions can we implement them," the Minister emphasized and expressed his hope that the leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, localities, businesses and the whole society, who have paid great attention, need to pay even greater attention, so that the top national policy is truly the top national policy, and need to pay more practical and timely attention...
On this occasion, the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President for its contributions to training, scientific research and technology transfer, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. General Secretary To Lam presented the Third Class Labor Medal to the school.
