Difficulty in choosing wishes due to high employment rate
Pham Minh Tu - a 9th grade student at Nguyen Truong To Secondary School (Hanoi) determined that setting a wish is an important factor in helping him increase his chances of being admitted to public schools. However, up to this point, Minh Tu is still struggling with his own plan. The male student is worried because his current score has not met the requirements, and has just stopped at a good level.
Many students also try to review and set goals of achieving good grades to have the opportunity to enter their favorite school.
Dong Le Tung Lam - a student at Den Lu Secondary School (Hanoi) - said that he is trying every day. As for the third exam subject, English, I spend about 1-2 hours/day studying. This student determined to make a first wish and wanted to pass the entrance exam to Truong Dinh High School.
Accompanying her children in this exams, Ms. Le Thi Dung - a parent in Cau Giay district (Hanoi) said that public high schools in the district have long been famous for their high competition rate. Therefore, both parents and children are stressed and concentrated.
Talking to reporters, a teacher at Phu La Secondary School, Ha Dong District, Hanoi said that the number of candidates taking the public 10th grade exam this year will likely be higher than last year, in which some districts have few public schools such as Ha Dong and Cau Giay, the competition rate will be very high. "Ha Dong has only 3 public schools and the number of candidates taking the exam this year can reach more than 8,000 while the quota for admission to these 3 schools is less than 2,500, so even if the average score of 3 subjects is 8 points, it is still uncertain to pass," said this teacher.

How to arrange wishes
Mid-April. In 2025, grade 9 students in Hanoi will register to enter grade 10. Sharing with students and parents, Ms. Tran Thi Tho - a teacher at Hoang Van Thu High School (Hanoi) advised them to study hard according to the plan given by teachers. In particular, improving self-study ability, proactively practicing skills and knowledge.
Regarding the story of registering for aspirations, for many years, it is still a difficult problem, brainstorming. Ms. Tho advised students to follow the score through the exams and examinations of the school. At the same time monitor the benchmark for many years of the schools to choose the right of their learning power. Besides, teachers who understand and evaluate students best, please consult the advice.
Understanding the anxiety and confusion of the students, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of the Science - Social Group, teacher of Literature 9 at Xuan Ninh Secondary School (Nam Dinh) hopes that the students must have appropriate tactics for themselves.
First, students need to set goals for each subject and set goals for each stage, thereby clearly understanding their abilities to choose schools that suit their abilities. Note that you should not register one and two wishes with schools with similar attraction, as shown in the number of registrations and benchmark scores in recent years - Ms. Thuy said.
At the same time, the female teacher also reminded students that when registering for wishes, they need to carefully research each school, even go to the station to clearly understand the area, calculate the travel distance to see if it is suitable for going to school every day for 3 consecutive years.
