According to regulations, from April 21, candidates will start registering for the 2025 high school graduation exam; the registration time is until 5:00 p.m. on April 28.
The Exam Management System of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will organize a functional course to register for the 2025 high school graduation exam, at 5:00 p.m.
Data on the system up to 5:00 p.m. on April 28, 2025, the total number of registered contestants is 1,165,289
Candidates 12 (2018 General Education Program) are 1,122,507 (accounting for 96.33%).
There are 42,782 free students (accounting for 3.67%), of which:
Free students of the 2018 General Education Program are 16,072 (accounting for 1.38%);
Free students of the 2006 General Education Program: 26,711 (accounting for 2.29%).
This year, the high school graduation exam took place on June 26-27. Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training expected more than 1.1 million students to take the graduation exam.
Compared to last year, the number of candidates increased from 1.06 to over 1.1 million, about 40,000 students higher (this number is the group of graduates this year, not including independent candidates).
The group of candidates taking the first graduation exam under the 2018 general education program must take four exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, candidates choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language).
Candidates taking the exam under the old program (2006) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exam, at the same time as one of two subjects: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).
