Proposal to increase teachers' salaries and allowances from 2026
At the discussion session on the National Target Program on Improving Education Quality 2026-2035, many National Assembly deputies emphasized the need to develop the teaching staff. Delegate Tran Hoang Ngan (HCMC Delegation) proposed to increase salaries and allowances for teachers from January 1, 2026, and pledged to maintain a long-term policy to attract teaching human resources at all levels of education.

Delegates said that stronger incentives are needed, especially for teachers in disadvantaged areas. Delegate Thach Phuoc Binh proposed increasing the attraction allowance to 70-100% of basic salary, supporting public housing, ensuring staffing and training conditions. At the same time, it is necessary to prioritize the consolidation of schools in 248 border communes and ethnic minority areas and improve living conditions for teachers.

The Department of Education and Training of An Giang has just requested the People's Committee of Hon Dat commune to coordinate in handling the case of a 10th grade male student at Hon Dat high school being beaten by a group of friends and wearing a sanitary film in his mouth. The incident was discovered after the clip spread on social media, causing concerns about the negative impact on students' psychology and the educational environment. The Department requires the school, local authorities and police to verify, support students and keep personal information related confidential.

According to the report, on November 22, 2025, a group of students including Q.H, Q.D and a few other friends blocked the road, used a knife to threaten and beat V.X.H with their hands and a helmet, then filmed a clip and put a sanitary film in the victim's mouth. The school received the information on November 23, coordinated with the Hon Dat Commune Police to review, identify the identities of the students in the clip and report the incident to the authorities.
The two students Q.H and Q.D wrote a report and admitted their actions. The commune police are investigating, the school continues to provide spiritual support to the victims and temporarily let the students involved go to school normally while waiting for the conclusion of the handling. The People's Committee of Thong Nhat Ward (Gia Lai) reported the case of a 7th grade female student at Ton Duc Thang Secondary School being beaten by two classmates on the afternoon of November 28. The incident happened before Physical Education class when some students arrived at class early. The clip recording the incident was then posted by the parents on social media, attracting attention.
The school invited the homeroom teacher and parents of the three students involved to work, asking them to write a report and find out the cause. The conflict arose from D.T.N.T borrowing your painting but making it lost. The parents of the students agreed to coordinate education; the parents of the two students who beat their friend and the homeroom teacher came to apologize to the victim.
