Forecast of high schools in Ho Chi Minh City taking benchmark scores of 20 points or higher
After candidates complete the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year, the benchmark scores for public high schools are becoming an issue of particular concern to parents and students.
According to the assessment of many teachers, this year's exam questions are not too difficult, the differentiation is concentrated in the application question group. In which, Literature is assessed as close, English is just right, and Math is classified but does not appear many tricky questions. With the exam level like this, the score distribution is forecast to be more optimistic than last year.

Many enrollment experts believe that this year's benchmark scores may increase from 0.25-2 points in some schools with high competition rates or many students registering aspirations.

Choosing the option of bringing high school graduation exam questions to Phu Quoc island depending on the weather
On June 5, Mr. Huynh Van Hoa - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province said that after merging the province, the scale of this year's high school graduation exam of the province is very large. The province has 81 exam sites, including 78 official exam sites and 3 reserve exam sites. It is expected to organize 1,710 exam rooms, of which on the mainland there are 75 official exam sites and 2 reserve sites, Phu Quoc special zone has 3 official exam sites and 1 reserve exam site. To date, the whole province has 39,983 registered candidates, including 38,225 12th grade candidates and 1,758 independent candidates. The province plans to mobilize about 5,400 officials, teachers and staff to participate in serving the exam.

The Department has developed 3 options to bring exam questions to Phu Quoc special zone to serve the 2026 high school graduation exam. Specifically, option one transports by car from Rach Gia to Ha Tien, then travels by train or ferry from Ha Tien to Phu Quoc or by Rach Gia - Phu Quoc ferry. 78% of the second round competency assessment exams achieved below 800 points
On June 5, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) announced the results of the second phase of the competency assessment (V-ACT) exam in 2026.
The 2nd round of competency assessment exam was held on May 24 in 15 provinces and cities with the participation of 170,125 candidates, reaching a participation rate of 98.3% out of a total of 173,121 registered candidates.
This is the largest scale exam ever of the V-ACT exam.

Analysis results show that the score distribution in phase 2 of 2026 continues to be in a near-standard distribution form with a balanced bell shape.
About 35% of candidates scored below 600 points, 58% scored below 700 points and 78% scored below 800 points; while about 8% of candidates scored from 900 points or higher. See more...
