Ho Chi Minh City - The 10th grade exam score level for 2026 is forecast to be positive, leading to the possibility of a slight increase in benchmark scores in many high schools.

After candidates complete the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year, the benchmark scores for public high schools are becoming an issue of particular concern to parents and students.

According to the assessment of many teachers, this year's exam questions are not too difficult, the differentiation is concentrated in the application question group. In which, Literature is assessed as close, English is just right, and Math is classified but does not appear many tricky questions. With the exam level like this, the score distribution is forecast to be more optimistic than last year.

Many enrollment experts believe that this year's benchmark scores may increase from 0.25-2 points in some schools with high competition rates or many students registering aspirations.

In Zone 1, the group of high schools with top-ranked benchmark scores for many years is forecast to continue to maintain a level of 22 points or higher. Among them, schools can be mentioned: Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Phu Nhuan High School, Mac Dinh Chi High School, Nguyen Huu Huan High School, Nguyen Huu Cau High School, Bui Thi Xuan High School, Le Quy Don High School, Tran Phu High School, Practical Secondary School - University of Education...

In addition, the group of schools with benchmark scores last year at around 20 points are also forecast to continue to maintain this level or increase slightly in this year's enrollment season such as: Trung Vuong High School, Marie Curie High School, Luong The Vinh High School, Binh Phu High School and Nam Sai Gon High School...

In region 2 (formerly Binh Duong), Trinh Hoai Duc High School and Di An High School are forecast to continue to lead in benchmark scores. These are the only two schools in the region with benchmark scores exceeding the 20 point mark in the 10th grade entrance exam last year. Meanwhile, Binh An High School and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School are assessed to be likely to approach or exceed the 20 point mark threshold if the score distribution this year increases.

In region 3 (Ba Ria - Vung Tau before), Vung Tau High School is likely to continue to hold the position of the school with the highest benchmark score in the region. Along with that, Nguyen Hue High School is also forecast to be in the group of schools with leading benchmark scores. These are the two schools recording the highest benchmark scores in the locality in the 10th grade entrance exam last year.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, exam marking will take place from September 3rd. 6. Exam results are expected to be announced after the completion of the 2026 high school graduation exam (after June 12th).

The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year takes place in 2 days, June 1st and 2nd, with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam. Public high schools in the city enroll about 118,500 students in 10th grade, equivalent to about 78% of candidates taking the exam have a chance of passing.
