Da Nang mobilizes more than 35,000 sets of shared books to support students
At some large bookstores in Hai Chau and Lien Chieu wards (Da Nang City) in mid-August, the atmosphere of shopping for school supplies is extremely busy. However, besides the joy of preparing for the new school year, many parents are worried when they cannot find enough sets of textbooks for their children, especially in grades 4, 7 and 10 according to the new general education program.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (resident of Lien Chieu ward, Da Nang) shared: "I have gone to three large bookstores in the area but still haven't bought enough sets of 7th grade books for my child. Bookstores currently only have Math, Literature and Informatics books left, and subjects such as English and Natural Sciences have been out of stock for a long time. The staff said I have to wait for the next shipment but did not set an exact date, which makes me very impatient.

Similarly, staff at a bookstore on Le Duan street (Hai Chau ward) admitted that the situation of localized retail book shortages is happening for some grades.
Since the end of July, the number of parents coming to shop has increased sharply. Currently, most of the 4th and 7th grade textbooks are no longer in stock for sale. We are actively contacting publishers to supplement the supply in time for people" - this employee said. See more...
