Nghe An reviews and rectifies the evaluation and ranking of teachers
On May 31, information from a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province said that the unit had grasped information reflecting some inadequacies in the work of evaluating, ranking, and emulation and commendation at the end of the school year at schools in the area.
According to feedback, in some schools, the evaluation, ranking, and evaluation of year-end emulation still have opinions that are not really fair and transparent; there are signs of emotion and bias in the evaluation process. Some teachers believe that there are cases where they have not clearly shown outstanding achievements but are still proposed for commendation, while people with a process of striving and completing tasks well have not been recognized commensurately.
In addition, some reflections related to the fact that some communes control the percentage of grassroots Emulation Soldier titles, causing difficulties in the evaluation process at schools, easily causing concerns in the teaching staff.
Some schools offer criteria for evaluating and scoring emulation that are not suitable for the specific professional characteristics. For example, adding emulation points to teachers participating in blood donation is considered unreasonable if used as a basis for ranking, because this is not a professional activity, contest or criterion directly reflecting the quality of teaching and education. This regulation also creates unfairness for teachers who do not meet the health conditions to participate.
Some teachers are also concerned about including movement, communication or personal conditions activities in the emulation scale, while core criteria such as task completion level, professional quality, initiative, responsibility to students and contributions to the collective need to be placed in the right position.

Regarding the above issues, representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province said that the Department will review, inspect, and rectify if inadequacies and negativity are detected in the process of evaluation, classification, and emulation and commendation at educational institutions.
