Many teachers in Ho Chi Minh City receive tens of millions of VND for the 2026 Lunar New Year
During the 2026 Lunar New Year, public school teachers in Ho Chi Minh City are paid many year-end amounts, including additional income according to Resolution 27 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, bonuses according to Decree 73, Tet gifts and the school's surplus/savings fund. The total amount received can be up to tens of millions of VND.

According to the principals of some secondary schools, senior teachers who excellently complete their tasks can receive over 70-80 million VND; newly graduated teachers also receive about 40-50 million VND. Outside of the general policy, the source of expenditure also comes from schools proactively saving spending during the year to supplement income for teachers at the end of the year.
Resolution 27 stipulates the maximum level of additional income expenditure of 1.8 times salary according to rank and grade; Decree 73 stipulates that the bonus fund is equal to 10% of the total salary fund (excluding allowances) based on the task evaluation results. In addition, each teacher also receives a Tet gift of 2 million VND, contributing to raising the total income at the end of the year to a high level. See more...

The rights of many teachers in Quang Tri are resolved before the new Spring
Many teachers in Quang Tri have fallen into a deadlock when dossiers for receiving one-time allowances under Decree 76/2019/ND-CP were delayed or returned due to lack of procedures. Some people submitted dossiers from 2021 but by 2023 they had not been paid, causing them to worry, especially in the context of changes in the local government model.
After Lao Dong Newspaper reflected, functional agencies intervened and implemented payment of allowances for extremely difficult areas for teachers, with amounts ranging from 50-100 million VND depending on the working time. Many teachers were moved because their rights were guaranteed, considering this a recognition for the years of attachment to difficult areas.
In addition, the situation of late payment of salaries to contract teachers is also resolved when the Provincial People's Committee allocates funds to pay fully according to regulations. Timely removal helps teachers feel secure in their work and celebrate Tet with a lighter and more confident mindset. See more...
