The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has announced the structure and reference exam questions for 10th grade admission in 2026 for three subjects: Literature, Math and English. The exam consists of assessing abilities, reducing in-depth learning and increasing practical application. Literature includes reading comprehension and writing, main content of grades 8-9; Math increases practical application questions; English has 40 sentences, comprehensively evaluates amatic words to communication, adds the form of writing phrases according to previous information.

Mr. Cao Duc Khoa - Principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School (Ben Thanh Ward), assessed that the reference set clearly demonstrates the spirit of innovation, forcing students to learn the nature instead of learning from the register. Literature is associated with social issues, Math requires application to life situations, while English according to new competency standards, requires flexible language use. He emphasized that exam preparation requires an early roadmap, teachers must finalize knowledge at each stage and students must focus on reviewing from April 2026.
Mr. Khoa advises parents not to let their children take extra classes in too many places, because the important thing is to have a firm grasp of basic knowledge and know how to apply it. Students need to allocate reasonable time between studying, resting and self- practicing to avoid pressure. See more...
