The competition is themed "From Waste to Wonders".
The program is not simply an art playground, but sends a message that environmental protection education does not stop at slogans or theoretical lectures, but must start from specific actions, associated with students' practical experiences.
At Fashion Show 2026, discarded plastic bottles, old cardboard, fabric scraps, used packaging... were "transformed" into creative outfits by students.
That process forces them to work in groups, explore materials, think about recycling methods, calculate functions and aesthetics.
More importantly, they directly touch "garbage", see the life cycle of consumer products and become more aware of the value of reuse and reduction of waste.
This is the core point of modern environmental education, students not only "hear" about environmental protection, but are "made" to understand and remember.
When children create products from discarded materials themselves, the message about saving resources and reducing plastic waste will become more vivid and sustainable than any theoretical lesson.
Many schools across the country have been and are implementing environmental education models through actions: organizing the "say no to plastic waste" day, cleaning school grounds and residential areas, sorting waste at source, launching movements to plant and care for green trees, and building green - clean - beautiful learning spaces.
These activities, if maintained regularly and in depth, will contribute to forming a green living habit for students right from when they are still in school.
The school is not only a place to impart knowledge, but also a place to sow seeds of civic awareness, social responsibility and a sustainable lifestyle for the young generation.
When each student is encouraged to come up with initiatives, from carrying personal water bottles, limiting disposable plastics, recycling school supplies, to planting another pot of green trees, those small actions will combine into big changes.
It is necessary to replicate creative models such as the recycling Fashion Show of Phenikaa Inter-level School, associated with continuing education programs, with coordination between schools, families and society.
Environmental education will only be truly effective when students are "living in a green educational environment", where every daily action contributes to protecting the planet.
The school shifts from theory to practice, giving students the opportunity to act and be creative, then the sense of responsibility to the environment will grow up with them.
