Tuyen Quang has proposed building 16 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in border communes. The projects are expected to change the face and improve the quality of education in border areas.
At the end of December 2025, 6 boarding school projects with a total investment of over 1,300 billion VND will be simultaneously started, and the remaining 10 schools will be implemented in the coming years.
According to PV's records, after the groundbreaking ceremony, 6 boarding school projects in border communes Son Vi, Thanh Thuy, Minh Tan, Xin Man, Pa Vay Su, Pho Bang are being constructed simultaneously. Some school sites have begun to build functional buildings.
Contractors are mobilizing machinery and manpower to implement the project.
Construction in border areas, the top difficulty of the projects is site clearance. At the same time, there are also many problems with raw materials and human resources.
According to the assessment of functional agencies of Tuyen Quang province, up to now, the progress of projects is slow due to site clearance, complex terrain, geology, and climate conditions.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Sung Mi No - Chairman of Son Vi Commune People's Committee said that at the boarding school project in Son Vi, construction units are breaking rocks and compacting to get ground. Compared to other school sites, the ground here is many rocky hills, taking a lot of construction time.
By the end of January, the ground will be completed and construction of the building foundation will begin. The project will be completed in August 2026 and put into operation in September 2026," said the Chairman of Son Vi Commune People's Committee.
Regarding the Thanh Thuy Inter-level Boarding School project, Mr. Le Manh Dung - Chairman of Thanh Thuy Commune People's Committee said that the project is under continuous construction, deploying the construction of foundations for 4 functional buildings.
Construction of items will be organized as soon as the ground is completed. It is expected that 100% of the ground will be completed in less than 2 weeks.
Regarding boarding school projects, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh affirmed that building schools in border communes has profound political - social and humanitarian significance.
The early completion and commissioning of schools will create a big impression, creating a full and best learning environment for children of ethnic groups in the area.
To ensure projects reach the finish line on schedule, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh requested relevant units to have solutions to accelerate project progress. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen coordination and remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of performing tasks.
Construction units must focus maximum machinery and manpower and have a plan to organize construction to ensure science and suitability. Accelerate implementation progress, ensuring aesthetics and quality of each project.
The remaining 10 boarding schools are in the communes: Sa Phin, Thang Mo, Bach Dich, Tung Vai, Nghia Thuan, Thang Tin, Ban May, Can Ty, Dong Van, Lung Cu.
Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Public Investment Plan from the state budget for 2026. At the same time, directing units to review and survey suitable construction locations.
