Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Thu Ha has just signed and issued Official Letter No. 4937/UBND-KGVX dated September 3, 2025 on the implementation of the task of ensuring facilities and teaching equipment in educational institutions to prepare for the new school year.
Accordingly, to strengthen facilities for educational institutions, ensure school safety in the face of complicated developments of natural disasters, prepare the best conditions to serve the new school year 2025-2026, and meet the requirements for organizing teaching and learning in 2 sessions/day according to Directive No. 17/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister, the City People's Committee directs as follows:
The People's Committees of wards and communes direct their affiliated educational institutions to review and evaluate the current status of facilities and equipment; adjust, arrange and improve the efficiency of use; determine the need to build new, repair and renovate classrooms (prioritize 2 classrooms/day), functional rooms, libraries, toilets, dining rooms, and accommodation rooms for boarding and semi-boarding students; plan and maintain works according to Decree No. 06/2021/ND-CP; do not use expired or unsafe works. Synthesize the needs for infrastructure investment, arrange or propose capital sources, send to the Department of Finance for synthesis and report to the City People's Committee. Organize propaganda and drills on disaster prevention plans, especially flooding, to ensure the safety of students and property.
The Department of Education and Training is the focal agency, advising the City People's Committee to issue documents directing the construction of national standard schools. Direct educational institutions to review the current situation, adjust, arrange, arrange, determine the need to build new, repair, renovate classrooms, functional rooms, etc., and develop maintenance plans according to Decree 06/2021/ND-CP; not put into use unsafe works; develop a disaster prevention plan. Review and summarize investment needs, propose capital sources to the Department of Finance. Organize propaganda on natural disaster prevention and response, integrate into teaching programs and extracurricular activities.
The Department of Finance guides and coordinates with the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of wards and communes to synthesize needs, balance capital, and advise the City People's Committee to arrange funding to ensure progress, efficiency, and savings.
