A school in Cau Giay (Hanoi) organized dinner and overnight sleep for students due to prolonged rain causing flooding on many streets.

Due to the impact of the circulation of storm No. 10 Bualoi, Hanoi has had heavy rain since this morning (September 30). The prolonged rain caused many streets to be severely flooded.

In the face of the storm, Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School informed all parents: To ensure safety, the bus system will stop operating this afternoon, September 30, 2025. The school will organize dinner and overnight sleep for all students who register to stay; support breakfast tomorrow, October 1, 2025. The school ensures the same portion sizes for the day as the boarding meals for the children (parents, students register with homeroom teachers).

"In case parents pick up their children, please carefully consider safety factors and notify the homeroom teacher" - the announcement clearly stated.

Talking with Lao Dong, Mr. Dam Tien Nam - Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary and High School - Cau Giay informed that according to preliminary statistics of the school as of 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 261 primary school students, 221 secondary school students, and over 400 high school students had been registered by parents.

"The children go to school in the rain in the morning but cannot predict the prolonged rain causing flooding like this. Currently, the water around the school has receded, but there are students, the water in the area has not receded, making it difficult for them to travel. If parents register with the school, we will arrange accommodation and manage the children until tomorrow morning" - Mr. Nam informed.

This afternoon, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has urgently issued a notice to schools on how to respond to the circulation of storm No. 10.

Accordingly, the Department requires schools to proactively respond promptly and move machinery and equipment if necessary. For schools with boarding students, schools coordinate with families to promptly grasp student information. Absolutely do not organize outdoor activities or extracurricular activities during storms.

According to Lao Dong, some kindergartens and high schools in suburban areas such as Son Tay, Hoai Duc... have allowed students to stay home from school due to heavy rain causing flooding.
