On the afternoon of September 9, Hanoi Medical University was filled with a joyful atmosphere at the Match Day 2025 event - Resident Doctor Registration Day. This is a special milestone when the Boarding Doctor program has just celebrated 50 years of establishment and development (1974 - 2024): the most prestigious training program in the Vietnamese medical education system.
More than 900 excellent candidates passed the rigorous exam to be present in the large hall of Hanoi Medical University.
"Choosing a major is not only a career choice, but also a job choice for people. Success will come to those who are persistent, dedicated and attached to the profession" - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu - Principal of the school sent a message at the ceremony.
According to Hanoi Medical University, this year's Match Day witnessed the strong attraction of many majors, especially Obstetrics and Gynecology and plastic surgery. These two majors quickly "sold out" targets right from the first bids, affirming their position and special appeal in the eyes of young doctors.
More respectfully, some candidates have chosen not to register for any major, giving valuable opportunities to their colleagues - a humane act, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and accompanying in the medical profession.
Not only a professional registration day, Match Day 2025 is also a maturity ceremony - where new residents shout out their wishes, affirming their mettle, belief and aspiration to contribute to community health.
