As one of the contestants who arrived at the exam spot the earliest, Le Nguyen Ha Chi (Le Loi Secondary School, Hai An District) shared that this morning, Chi woke up very early with a nervous spirit and had been at the exam spot since nearly 6am. "Although I have reviewed my exam very carefully, I still ate red bean sticky rice this morning to pray for luck in this exam" - Ha Chi said.
Present to encourage students before entering the important exam, teacher Le Thi Duong - Literature teacher at Le Loi Secondary School said that this year's exam is relatively special, the first year implemented according to the 2018 General Education Program with many innovations in content, exam form and organization process. Therefore, they cannot help but worry. "To encourage them, I also called them the day before to encourage them. This morning, I went to the Le Chan High School exam site from 6am to chat with students, helping them have a strong mentality to enter the first exam subject" - teacher Le Thi Duong said.
It is known that the non-professional public 10th grade entrance exam in Hai Phong takes place over two days, June 3 in the morning of Literature exam, afternoon of Foreign Language exam, and morning of June 4 in Math exam. Math takes a multiple-choice test, time 90 minutes; Literature takes an essay test, time 120 minutes; Foreign language takes a multiple-choice test, time 60 minutes.
The city has 43 exam councils with a total of 1,102 exam rooms. Of which, 4 special exam rooms are at the exam council of Bach Dang High School, Hong Bang High School and Tran Nguyen Han High School. The Department of Education and Training mobilized about 3,400 staff and teachers to participate in the exam review and marking stages.
Each exam council/examination point has inspectors setting up checkpoints, local police forces protecting the outside area, ensuring security, order and safety of the exam room. The work of preventing fraud and negativity is given special attention. The Steering Committees of some localities also arranged medical equipment and specialized vehicles, ready to serve candidates with health problems when required.
In the face of hot weather, the Department of Education and Training directed the exam councils to operate 100% of air conditioners in the exam room to serve candidates throughout the test time.
