Learning comfortably, without cramming knowledge
Two students Tran Tuan Kiet and Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh made their mark at the 2025 High School Graduation Exam when they both achieved 29.25 points in A00 (Math 9.5; Physics 10; Chemistry 9.75) - the highest result in Quang Tri province. This achievement is a meaningful gift before the 50th anniversary of the founding of Quang Tri High School, where the two students studied in class 12A1.
Sharing about the exam results, Tuan Kiet (residing in Trieu Phong commune) said he was satisfied because his score reflected his efforts throughout his high school years. As the son of a teacher and a commune official, Kiet was given the best conditions by his family to study. "My mother has guided me to study since I was a child, and my parents always find good teachers to help me review," Kiet expressed.
During his three years in high school, he always maintained his excellent student achievements, winning many provincial high school awards in Chemistry. Notably, in grade 9 Kiet won the first prize, grade 10 won the second prize, grade 12 continued to win the third prize.
Regarding the secret to learning, Kiet believes that the most important thing is to maintain a relaxed mindset, not cramming into knowledge. I always arrange my time scientifically, combine studying and resting to avoid pressure. In the united 12A1 class, with many excellent classmates, I have more motivation to compete and strive.
"I have been pre-recruited into the army, the results of this exam are the conditions for admission. If I am not qualified, I will switch to another major - Kiet shared about his future plans.
Pay attention to studying, practice sports to reduce pressure
Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh (residing in Quang Tri ward) has been an excellent student for 12 consecutive years, in grade 12 Quynh also won the provincial Chemistry prize, her becoming the valedictorian did not surprise her friends and teachers.
Nhu Quynh said that this year's exam questions closely follow the curriculum, with a clear differentiation in the advanced section. I always try to grasp the basic knowledge, because that is the key to confidently entering the exam room, Quynh said.
In class, I focus on listening to lectures, going home and allocating reasonable study time, combining online lectures and finding advanced questions for myself. During the final exam, Quynh maintained her daytime study and early sleep at night, and would take a short break after every 30-60 minutes of studying to recharge her energy. In addition, I spend time practicing sports to reduce stress.
"Luckily, my parents did not put pressure on me to achieve, but only orient and encourage me to study the right thing I love," Quynh shared.
Quynh has already participated in the preliminary admission to the police force and is waiting for the results of the competency assessment exam. If I am qualified, I will continue to write my dream of wearing the armed forces jersey.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Thuy, homeroom teacher of class 12A1, said that both Kiet and Quynh are exemplary students, exemplary in their studies and group activities. "Tuan Kiet has just been admitted to the Party, both of you are the pride of the class and the school," said Ms. Thuy.
