On the morning of February 13, Ms. Mai Thi Vinh, Principal of Phuoc Hiep Primary School No. 2, reported the suspicion that a student was kidnapped during recess. Immediately after that, the authorities quickly launched an investigation.
The school principal said that on the same morning, the teacher discovered student V.L.T.A (class 3A) crying and panicking.
When asked, the student said that a group of strangers in a car in front of the school gate lured him into the car with candy and then dragged him into the car. In the car, he saw another student tied up and gagged, but both escaped.
Working with the authorities, witnessed by his family, T.A admitted that this story was completely made up by him.
According to the boy, that morning, while playing near the school gate, he saw a group of people sitting in a car outside. When someone pointed at him, he panicked, ran into the classroom and then made up a story about being kidnapped.
When I got home, I continued to tell my family the story. The reason was that I had been warned about child kidnapping tricks.
Through verification, the car above was rented by Mr. P.T.H (residing in Phuoc Hoa commune, Tuy Phuoc district) to go to work. The people in the car were completely unrelated to the incident.
Mr. H has asked the school to publicly apologize and remove false information on social networks to avoid negative effects on him personally.
