Ministry of Home Affairs reviews the establishment of An Nhon City, Binh Dinh

The Ministry of Home Affairs is assessing the establishment of An Hoa town, wards of An Nhon town and the establishment of An Nhon city in Binh Dinh province.

On February 13, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a conference to appraise the Project to establish An Hoa town in An Lao district; the Project to establish wards in An Nhon town and establish An Nhon city in Binh Dinh province, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs' electronic information portal.

According to the Project to establish An Hoa town in An Lao district, Binh Dinh province, it is proposed to establish An Hoa town on the basis of the original status of 41.16 km2 of natural area, population of 12,742 people and 9 villages of An Hoa commune.

The establishment of An Hoa town ensures the conditions stipulated in the Law on Organization of Local Government and the Law on Planning, meets the standards for establishing a town as stipulated in the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee; ensures requirements on national defense, security, order and social safety.

Regarding the Project to establish wards in An Nhon town and establish An Nhon city, Binh Dinh province proposed to establish 6 wards in An Nhon town on the basis of the original natural area and population size of 6 communes: Nhon Loc, Nhon An, Nhon Phuc, Nhon Hau, Nhon Tho, Nhon Phong.

Establish An Nhon city in Binh Dinh province on the basis of the original status of 244.49 km2 of natural area and population of 208,396 people of An Nhon town.

The establishment of 6 wards in An Nhon town and the establishment of An Nhon city does not change the natural area, population size and number of commune-level administrative units compared to An Nhon town, but there is an increase of 6 wards and a decrease of 6 communes (from 10 communes, 5 wards to 4 communes, 11 wards).

Binh Dinh province affirmed that the establishment of 6 wards in An Nhon town and An Nhon city in Binh Dinh province is necessary, creating new momentum to contribute to accelerating the speed of socio-economic development, shifting economic structure, enhancing the effectiveness of state management, ensuring national defense and security; at the same time, meeting the aspirations of the Party Committee, government and people in Binh Dinh province and An Nhon city.

At the conference, delegates said that the establishment of An Hoa town in An Lao district; the establishment of wards in An Nhon town and the establishment of An Nhon city in Binh Dinh province have ensured the conditions, standards; procedures, records, projects... according to regulations. The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has developed the Project and organized to collect voters' opinions, passed by People's Councils at all levels with very high approval.

Delegates requested Binh Dinh province to arrange and allocate working offices and the number of cadres, civil servants, non-professional workers, agencies, units... in An Hoa town, 6 (new) wards and An Nhon city to ensure compliance with regulations.

The conversion of documents for people, organizations and businesses is guaranteed to be done in the fastest and most convenient time.

Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang requested the Department of Local Government to coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs of Binh Dinh province and relevant units to receive and complete the Projects according to the requirements of the Appraisal Council to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision.

At the same time, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang requested Binh Dinh province to carefully review and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data between the Submission, Project and attached appendices.
