Student Doan Tuan Nghia, 6G class student, Vo Thi Sau Secondary School (Le Thanh Nghi ward, Hai Phong city), has excellently won the gold medal of the 2nd International Mathematical Olympiad in 2025.
On the morning of September 5, the Organizing Committee of the Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (China) held in Hong Kong (China) sent a congratulatory letter to Doan Tuan Nghia for his excellent gold medal in the round with an impressive score of 135/150.
According to the competition rules required by the Organizing Committee, candidates must complete the 30 multiple-choice test, including 5 parts: logical thinking; digital learning/digital major; digital theory; toan; combination. Each section consists of 6 questions, each correct answer has 5 points, and the correct answer does not have any deductions. The total test score is 150, the test time is 120 minutes, the test uses English.
To win the gold medal this time, student Doan Tuan Nghia went through many strict domestic selection rounds. With a passion for Mathematics, Nghia performed excellently in the exam and achieved an impressive score, worthy of the prestigious gold medal.

This is the second international Olympic gold medal in Mathematics that Tuan Nghia will achieve in 2025. Previously, on February 23, 2025, Doan Tuan Nghia won the gold medal at the TimO Mathematical Olympiad (Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad) held in Thailand.
It is known that TimO and HKIMO are prestigious math exams, attracting students from many countries and territories to participate. Winning two consecutive gold medals in the same school year shows the outstanding ability, passion and persistent efforts of this 6th grade student.
Mr. Doan Tan, the parent of Doan Tuan Nghia, shared: This is the second time I have let my child participate in the OLympic Math exam. With contestants from more than 30 countries participating with a large number of students, I just hope he will try his best. Winning the certificate for the second time is a great effort of the child and the efforts of the school's teachers".

Having won the gold medal at the 2nd consecutive International Mathematical Olympiad, Doan Tuan Nghia will be specially invited to participate in the WIMO World Mathematical Championship Final Round taking place in January 2026.
