In early November 2025, the working group of 19 members (3 cadres and 16 students) from Saint Petersburg city participated in many cultural and educational exchange programs in Dien Bien province.
The activity is within the framework of the cooperation and friendship program between educational institutions in Dien Bien province and Saint Petersburg city.
For nearly two weeks (October 29 to November 9), students in Saint Petersburg have had a special experience schedule.

Students from the "land of bickering" directly " saw the ears" and "touched" the heroic history of the Vietnamese people when visiting Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, A1 Hill, General Do Cat's command tunnel, Muong Thanh Bridge, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument...
Along with historical activities, cultural and educational exchanges took place enthusiastically at schools in the province.
Each school has its own program, cleverly combining art performances, organizing folk games, folk dance exchanges and experiencing indigenous cuisine...

Rodion said: "I have read about Dien Bien Phu through books, but standing at A1 hill and visiting Do Cat tunnel is a very different experience. Everything is very impressive from the friendliness and warmth of the Vietnamese friends.
Previously, from August 28 to September 11, the delegation of Dien Bien province (including 1 management staff, 1 teacher and 20 outstanding students of the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities) participated in the project "The Transition of International Youth" in Saint Petersburg city.

Mr. Vu Trung Hoan - Principal of Dien Bien Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities - said that this is not only an opportunity for students of the two countries to meet, exchange, and learn from each other about the culture, history, people and good traditions of each nation, but also contributes to fostering the Vietnam - Russia friendship that has a long history and has always been preserved and nurtured by generations.
Through exchange activities, students have the opportunity to expand their vision, practice international communication skills, and improve foreign language skills. On the contrary, Russian students also understand more about the heroic, hospitable and dynamically developing country of Vietnam.

In particular, for students of the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, who represent the young generation of ethnic groups in the highlands, this is a valuable opportunity for them to access advanced education, be inspired to study, and nurture their dream of reaching out to the world, said Mr. Hoan.
