Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Lo Van Cuong has just signed and issued Decision No. 2327/QD-UBND and Decision No. 2328/QD-UBND on converting forest land for the Northern Ring Road project.
According to Decision No. 2327, the province approved the change of land use purpose of 3.27 hectares of forest to implement the project of Investment in infrastructure construction of residential areas on both sides of Thanh Minh - Doi Doc Lap road (Northern belt road) of Dien Bien Phu city.
This forest area belongs to compartment 3, compartment 4, sub-compartment 717A (Dien Bien Phu ward) and compartment 2, sub-compartment 717A (Thanh Nua commune).
The entire area is planted forest outside the forestry planning, including 0.97 ha of mountain and mountain forests; 2.30 ha of bamboo forests.
In Decision No. 2328, the Provincial People's Committee approved the change of land use purpose for 1.08 hectares of forest to implement the Thanh Minh - Doc Lap Hill Road Construction Investment Project and residential area (Northern Ring Road) of Dien Bien Phu city.
This forest area belongs to compartment 4, sub-compartment 717A, Dien Bien Phu ward. This is an area of planted forests outside the forestry planning, including: a 0.7 ha mountain planted timber forest and a 0.38 ha mountain planted bamboo forest.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Dien Bien Phu Ward People's Committee, Thanh Nua Commune People's Committee, the project investor to take full responsibility before the law, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the completeness, accuracy, and validity of records, documents, and data.
