Students in HCMC go to school, many schools still cannot organize semi-boarding

Chân Phúc |

Many elementary schools in Ho Chi Minh City have not been able to organize semi-boarding from September 7, causing parents to struggle with picking up and dropping off and taking care of their children.

Hung Vuong Elementary School (Tan Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City) announced that it has not organized semi-boarding since September 7th because it does not have sufficient legal conditions to sign contracts with food suppliers for semi-boarding kitchens.

According to the school, the school is currently using the seal of the old school, before arranging the school network, to resolve financial procedures for previously signed dossiers. When a new seal is issued, the school can sign contracts with food suppliers serving semi-boarding kitchens.

Similarly, Nguyen Van Troi Elementary School (Khanh Hoi ward, Ho Chi Minh City) has not organized semi-boarding since September 7th because it is waiting to complete the dossier for appraisal of legal status, food quality and selection of a meal provider.

In a notice sent to parents, Nguyen Van Troi Elementary School said that the school shares the difficulties and inconveniences when families have to arrange pick-up and drop-off for students. However, to ensure the safety of students, the school hopes parents will sympathize and accompany.

As soon as the legal procedures are completed according to regulations, the school will quickly deploy the organization of semi-boarding.

The situation of not being able to organize semi-boarding right at the beginning of the school year also occurs in some other primary schools in Ho Chi Minh City such as Dang Tran Con Primary School, Tan Binh Primary School.

Sharing with Lao Dong, on the morning of September 7, the principal of a school in the group that has not yet organized semi-boarding said that the school is urgently consolidating and completing the dossier and waiting for general guidance to ensure a full legal basis before deployment.

The school is trying to complete the procedures to be able to reorganize semi-boarding as soon as possible. However, the specific time is not yet confirmed," the principal said.

While waiting for the semi-boarding to be reorganized, students will finish the class and be picked up by parents.

For cases where parents encounter difficulties and cannot pick up their children on time, the school still finds ways to create conditions within its ability to permit.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, after arranging the school network, the whole city has more than 1,200 units completing legal procedures, reaching a rate of 86%.

In which, the issuance and renewal of new seals is overloaded due to the large number of units needing to carry out procedures. To date, only 776 units have been issued new seals, reaching a rate of 52%.
