More than 1,000 students compete in the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship

The final round of the 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship had the participation of more than 1,000 domestic and international students.

On December 21, 2024, after nearly two months of implementing the qualifying round nationwide, the final round of the 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (VSAR) officially took place in Hanoi with the participation of more than 1,000 contestants (both in person and online).

The contest is organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, Central Council of Young Pioneers and a number of units.

With the aim of inspiring passion for learning STEM, artificial intelligence and robotics, the competition attracted the active participation of thousands of contestants in the qualifying round and selected the best teams for the final round.

The final round in Hanoi was attended by more than 900 contestants from 20 provinces and cities across the country. In particular, the competition also had international contestants from China, India, and Malaysia participating in friendly competitions with 112 contestants competing online in the VIR Virtual Robot Championship.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the competition, journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee, said that this year's final round includes 5 main tournaments, revolving around practical and highly applicable topics, helping students explore the fields of STEM, artificial intelligence and robotics, namely: National STEM Championship, AI, IYRC Vietnam Tournament, MakeX Championship, Tekmonk Coding Olympiad and ViRC Virtual Robot Championship (online competition).

"The 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship is not only a creative playground, but also a place to inspire passion for learning, practicing and applying science and technology in life," Mr. Suong emphasized.

On behalf of the students, Do Hoang Giang shared: "Coming to the competition, we not only bring robots but also a passion for technology, creativity and a spirit of learning and exchange. This is an opportunity for us to challenge ourselves, explore new limits and learn valuable lessons from friends across the country."

The total prize value of the 2024 National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship is up to 1 billion VND, including: Cash prizes, gifts, scholarships from prestigious academies. Gift prizes such as STEM equipment sets, educational robots, bicycles, computers...
