Mr. Le Thanh Do - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee - has just signed Decision No. 2201 approving the aid funded by World Vision International (WVI) - Representative Office in Vietnam to implement the project " boarding school - Happy house".
Accordingly, the total value of the aid is 495,592 USD (equivalent to more than 12.5 billion VND). This is a non-refundable aid, directly managed and implemented by the sponsor.
According to the decision, the project will be implemented for 2 years, from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2027.
The project implementation location includes Dien Bien Phu ward and the communes of Pu Nhung, Sang Nhe, Tinh Phinh, Sin Chai, Muong Luan, Xa Dung, Pu Nhi, Phinh Giang, Na Sang, Muong Tung, Pa Ham.
The above capital will be allocated to the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of 11 communes participating in the project.
The project aims to contribute to improving the access of ethnic minority students to quality child protection services and other essential services right at the Boarding Secondary Schools for Ethnic Minorities.
The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of 11 communes to preside over and coordinate with the WVI Organization - Representative Office in Vietnam, the Department of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies and units to receive, manage and use the aid according to the approved content, ensuring compliance with the provisions of Vietnamese law and the requirements of the sponsor.
