On the evening of July 4, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET) announced the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for each candidate and the admission score for the 10th grade non-professional level of each public high school in the 2025-2026 school year in the city.
The admission score is the total score of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language and priority score, encouragement score (if any).
The schools: Minh Quang High School, Tho Xuan High School, Bac Luong Son High School, Dai Cuong High School, Luu Hoang High School, Ung Hoa B High School have the lowest benchmark scores among high schools in Hanoi with a benchmark score of 10 points.

With this score, candidates only need to have a total score of 10 out of 3 subjects, which is an average of more than 3 points/subject to be admitted.
These are also the schools with the lowest benchmark scores in the capital in many years.
The remaining schools in the lowest group in Hanoi have admission scores ranging from 12 - 14.75 points, meaning an average of less than 5 points/subject can be admitted.
One of the notable new points in the 10th grade admission period for the 2025-2026 school year in Hanoi is the adjustment of the scoring method.
According to the regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, candidates who pass the first wish list will not be considered for the second and third wish list.
Candidates who do not pass the 1st wish list will be considered for the 2nd wish list but must have an admission score at least 1 point higher than the school's 1st wish list.
Candidates who do not pass the 1st and 2nd wishes will be considered for the 3rd wishes but must have an admission score at least 2 points higher than the school's 1st wishes.
When dropping the benchmark, public high schools are allowed to admit candidates with 2 or 3 wishes who are eligible for admission.
It is expected that by July 8 at the latest, schools will receive exam results to issue to students. Students who wish to be re-examined must submit an application for re-examination from July 4-10.
No later than July 28, candidates will receive the results of the re-examination.
Admitted students complete online or in-person admission procedures from July 10-12. Schools that do not meet the quota will meet to review additional admission scores on July 17.
