The Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong Province Police said that since the beginning of the year, it has coordinated with schools in the province to sign a commitment to comply with traffic safety with 50,178 middle and high school students; signed 44,477 commitments with parents about not giving vehicles to unqualified drivers.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Dak Nong Province, in recent years, there have been many cases of students violating traffic safety order in the province.
Common mistakes are driving side by side on the road, weaving, not wearing helmets... However, the most common mistake is driving a large-displacement motorbike without permission, especially among middle and high school students.
Recently, the traffic police force launched a peak campaign to handle cases of students violating traffic safety.
As a result, from October 1 to 31, 2024, the traffic police force in the whole province has been deployed to punish 988 cases of students violating traffic safety order. Traffic police have temporarily detained 667 vehicles, issuing decisions to impose fines of over 632 million VND.
Of these, there were 528 cases of violations due to underage driving, and 354 cases of parents violating the law by handing over the vehicle to someone underage.
In addition, there were 56 cases of not wearing helmets while riding motorbikes, scooters, electric bicycles and 270 other violations.
Traffic police have sent notices of 628 cases of students violating traffic laws to schools for coordination in handling.
