According to the leader of the Long Nguyen Ward Party Committee (HCMC), the unit has directed units to urgently adjust the plan to implement the bidding for the project to build a new facility for An Son Primary School.
This is a school lacking in facilities, students still have to sit in corrugated iron rooms with damaged old tables and chairs.
Before the merger, Binh Duong province previously had a policy to invest in building a new An Son Primary School with about 30 classrooms, with an investment cost of about more than 100 billion VND.
Currently, units in Long Nguyen ward are coordinating with the Ben Cat Construction Investment Project Management Board to complete procedures to carry out bidding for this school construction project.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported on the status of the facilities of An Son Primary School. There are 3 rooms surrounded by corrugated iron at the main campus and 3 other corrugated iron rooms at campus 2. In the old student desks and chairs, there are some that are broken. It is hot when it is sunny, and noisy when it rains.
In addition, students at campus 2 have to travel back and forth on DT 748 road to the main campus every day. This poses a potential risk of traffic accidents.

Talking to reporters, the leader of the Long Nguyen Ward Party Committee said that the cause was determined to be due to a large number of students, overloaded schools, and lack of classrooms. The ward leaders have directed the addition of tables and chairs to ensure a place for the students to study.
Not an isolated case in Ho Chi Minh City
According to records, the situation of corrugated iron classrooms at An Son Primary School is not unique in Ho Chi Minh City. In Tan Dong Hiep ward, Dong An Primary School also has 4 corrugated iron classrooms. In addition, in some other schools, many classes have a teacher ratio of 45-50 students. Some schools do not have enough classrooms to organize boarding facilities outside, and the meeting rooms are also quite narrow, posing potential risks to students' safety.
