On March 21, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee just issued a decision approving the Enrollment Plan for 10th grade of high school (THPT) for the 2026 - 2027 school year in the province, with the goal of enrolling about 85% of secondary school graduates.
According to the plan, the total enrollment scale is allocated to many types of schools. In which, 2 Le Quy Don specialized high schools enroll 15 classes, equivalent to 525 students.
Ethnic minority boarding schools (PTDTNT) enroll 8 classes with 280 students, each school not exceeding 10% of students who are Kinh ethnic people compared to the assigned target.
The block of public high schools, junior high schools and high schools enrolled 424 classes with 18,765 students.
Meanwhile, non-public TH-THCS&THPT schools, high schools, continuing education centers (GDTX) and vocational education institutions (GDNN) with cultural training functions of the GDTX high school program enroll 132 classes with 5,545 students.
The plan also clearly stipulates the enrollment method for each type.
Two specialized high schools Le Quy Don - Nam Nha Trang and Le Quy Don - Dong Hai specialized high schools apply the entrance exam format with 4 subjects including Literature, Mathematics, English and specialized subjects.
Khanh Hoa Ethnic Minority Boarding High School and Ninh Thuan Ethnic Minority Boarding High School apply the admission form; Pi Nang Tac Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School organizes entrance exams.
For non-specialized public high schools, enrollment is carried out in the form of entrance exams or admission consideration. Among them, some schools apply admission consideration including Lac Long Quan High School, Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary and High School, Khanh Son High School; and at the same time consider admission for students studying French as foreign language 1 to Nguyen Van Troi High School. The remaining schools organize entrance exams with 3 subjects: Literature, Mathematics and English.
Non-public high schools and institutions with continuing education programs at the high school level apply the form of admission.
Notably, the zoning of enrollment is not rigid according to commune-level administrative boundaries but is built flexibly, suitable to actual conditions, creating convenience for students in traveling and choosing schools.
According to the plan, the 10th grade entrance exam will take place in 2 days, May 28 and 29, 2026. Schools apply for admission and complete it before June 25, 2026 and announce the results before June 30, 2026.
The plan also clearly stipulates direct admission regimes, priority points, and incentives according to current regulations.
