On January 15, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Vietnam National Group of Industry and Energy and Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation to organize the inauguration ceremony of the STEM education practice room for Thuy Thuy Secondary School No. 2, Huong Hoa High School and Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School.
The event aims to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and the emulation movements at the beginning of 2026.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan affirmed that putting STEM education practice rooms into operation is an important milestone in the local education innovation roadmap.
The STEM education practice room not only supplements modern facilities, but also creates an environment for students to study through experience, practice, and associate scientific knowledge with life.

Director of Quang Tri Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong informed that the STEM model helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, cooperation and creativity skills, and core qualities of citizens in the digital age and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The simultaneous deployment at 3 schools in different areas shows efforts to spread STEM education in a synchronous manner, not only focusing on urban areas.

Mr. Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam National Group of Industry and Energy said that the "STEM INNOVATION PETROVIETNAM" program is being implemented nationwide to bring high school students early access to science, technology and modern technology.

In Quang Tri, in addition to investing in building and equipping 3 STEM education practice rooms with a value of 10.5 billion VND, Petrovietnam also presented gifts to schools and scholarships to 90 students with good academic achievements and students in difficult circumstances.

This activity both has the meaning of material support and is a spiritual encouragement, creating motivation for students to strive for learning and scientific research.

To make STEM education practice rooms effective, provincial leaders proposed that the education sector proactively integrate STEM activities into the general education program in a substantive way, strengthen teacher training, and maximize the infrastructure that has been invested in.
Schools that benefit need to develop systematic operating plans, linking STEM activities with scientific research and career guidance for students.
