On October 20, the People's Committee of Chau Duc district announced that it had issued a decision to implement the inspection conclusion related to the case of poor quality meals for teachers and workers at Anh Duong Kindergarten in the district.
According to the decision, Chau Duc District People's Committee requested Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue - Principal of Anh Duong Kindergarten - to make a self-criticism, accept the disciplinary action and send it to the District Internal Affairs Department before October 22. At the same time, develop a plan to implement the contents of the inspection conclusion.
The Department of Internal Affairs advises to organize a review of Ms. Hue's responsibilities for allowing many shortcomings and limitations to occur as stated in the inspection conclusion.
Previously, on October 18, Chief Inspector of Chau Duc district issued an inspection conclusion on a comprehensive inspection at Anh Duong Kindergarten.
Thereby, it is determined that there are still many inappropriate contents that need to be reviewed, adjusted and supplemented in contents such as direction and management; assignment of tasks; implementation of democratic regulations; and some unclear contents in the labor contract.
Regarding the content of organizing lunch for employees, Anh Duong Kindergarten has organized support of 60,000 VND/person/day according to the timesheet, paid via bank transfer along with the monthly salary payment.
The inspection conclusion also stated that in September 2024, 480,000 VND/person was collected, equivalent to 16 meals/16 days/person. After calculating the meals for 5 days at 102,800 VND, the remaining amount was returned to teachers and workers.
Of which, the meal cost on September 9 is 21,000 VND/meal; September 10 is 20,000 VND; September 11 is 18,800 VND; September 12 is 20,000 VND; September 13 is 23,000 VND.
Ms. Hue's failure to organize a consultation to reach a consensus; failure to publicize the amount of lunch money is not in accordance with regulations; as well as the delay in handling the remaining meal money from previous collections.
Mr. Le Thanh Kinh - Head of the Education and Training Division of Chau Duc district confirmed to Lao Dong Newspaper that Ms. Phan Thi Han Hue recently submitted a resignation letter due to poor health and shortcomings in management and operations.
However, it is necessary to immediately take corrective actions according to the inspection conclusion and recommendations as prescribed. After that, the Department of Education and Training will prepare a dossier and submit it to the District People's Committee for consideration and decision.
Previously, many teachers and workers of Anh Duong Kindergarten complained to the People's Committee of Chau Duc district when they paid for lunch at school at 30,000 VND/meal, but the food was quite poor and of poor quality. After the complaint, the school returned the remaining money, allowing teachers to order their own meals outside. At the same time, the local government also organized a comprehensive inspection of this unit.
