On February 25, Facebook spread 2 clips longer than 3 minutes recording a scene of a female student being beaten by a group in the field at night.
The clip shows this female student being punched, slapped consecutively in the face and grabbed by a group of about 4-5 people (all female) and dragged her hair on the road.
The clip after being shared on Facebook attracted the attention and sharing of the online community. Many opinions expressed dissatisfaction with the violent behavior of the group in the clip.
The above clip was determined to have occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on February 18, in the area near An Sinh 2 Clinic (in Yen Thinh town, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province).
The female student beaten in the clip was identified as M.L, a student of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Yen Mo district.
Talking to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of February 25, Ms. Dinh Thi Hanh - Deputy Director of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Yen Mo district said that the Center has grasped the incident and is coordinating with the police force to verify and clarify.
"The incident occurred outside the Center, the female student beaten in the clip was a student studying in class 10D of the Center, currently this female student is absent from school due to psychological effects" - Ms. Hanh said.
