On August 17, a video was circulated on social media showing a motorbike carrying 3 students, not wearing a helmet, wearing a military uniform and acting offensively when the A80 convoy (the convoy carrying soldiers participating in the upcoming September 2 parade) passed by.
The incident occurred near the Sat bridge area (Xuan Mai commune, Hanoi), causing a negative impact on public opinion.
After learning about the incident, Xuan Mai Commune Police proactively coordinated with Road Traffic Police Team No. 12 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi Police) to investigate.
The authorities have asked the people involved to work and determined that they are all students of Lam Nghiep High School (Xuan Mai commune, Hanoi).
At the police station, all 3 were aware of their violations and pledged not to repeat the offense.
For traffic violations, the police have prepared a warning file and notified the school, and temporarily detained the vehicle.
Regarding the incident, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of August 17, Mr. Le Khanh Toan - Principal of Lam Nghiep High School confirmed that this is a 10th grade student of the school, who had just enrolled not long ago.
According to Mr. Toan, immediately after receiving feedback about the students' inappropriate behavior, the school directed the homeroom teacher to contact and invite parents and students related to the school to work.
"This morning we met with parents and students, and asked them to clearly report the incident. Parents are very coordinating and the students themselves realize their mistakes. They also shared that this was an explosive action without predicting the consequences" - Mr. Toan said.
On the school's side, Mr. Toan said that a disciplinary council will be established to assess and review the level of violation by students to have appropriate handling directions.
"This is an expensive lesson for them and I hope the community and society will give them a chance to correct their mistakes" - Mr. Toan shared.
Through this incident, the school's leaders said that they will propagate and disseminate knowledge to staff and teachers, especially students, to rectify their style to avoid similar cases.
