The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has quickly reported on the organization of the high school graduation exam on the second day of the exam for elective subjects.
Mr. Ho Tan Minh - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - said that in the optional exam subject of the first exam, there were 97,050 candidates taking the exam, with 384 candidates absent. In the optional subject of the second round, there were 95,492 contestants, with 152 contestants absent.
At the Nguyen Thai Binh Secondary School exam location (District 6), a student was discovered violating the law (brought a phone into the exam room) and was promptly discovered, without revealing the exam questions outside.
Especially at the Vinh Loc High School exam location, 1 candidate was admitted late due to a broken vehicle. This student took the exam at Phu Nhuan High School, his home in Binh Chanh District, but his car broke down on the way to the exam so he went to the Vinh Loc High School exam site.
Mr. Minh said that after receiving this candidate, the exam council of Vinh Loc High School asked for the department's opinion. After reviewing the contestant's information correctly, the Vinh Loc High School Exam Council arranged for this contestant to take the exam in the reserve exam room, ensuring maximum benefits for the contestants.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that this year the city has 99,578 candidates registered to take the exam, an increase of 8,891 candidates compared to the previous year. Of which, 97,940 candidates took the exam under the 2018 General Education Program and 1,638 candidates under the 2006 General Education Program.
Ho Chi Minh City has arranged 171 exam points with a total of 4,242 exam rooms. Of which, there are 168 exam scores with 4,180 exam rooms for candidates under the 2018 Program and 3 exam scores with 62 exam rooms for candidates under the 2006 Program. Each exam location is arranged with 3 reserve rooms to handle arising situations.
All exam scores this year are installed with cameras in the exam and exam storage room, ensuring coverage of all exam and exam items in the room and the behaviors affecting those items, storing all data of the exam and exam storage process at the exam scoring point, operating continuously even when there is a power outage.
