Bac Ninh province has just held a meeting to review the progress of investment and construction of a number of university projects in the area south of Cau River, Bac Ninh province.
In particular, according to the latest report, the investment project to build and enhance the facilities of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment in Bac Ninh has a scale of about 13 hectares with a total investment of nearly 1,300 billion VND.
The school requested the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to consider directing and assigning the provincial unit to organize the preparation of the budget and implement the content of site clearance and handover of clean land for project implementation.
According to the Resolution dated May 26, 2025 of the People's Council of Bac Ninh province on approving the policy of supporting the provincial budget to invest in the construction of facilities of a number of universities in the province, the expected support level for the investment project to build and strengthen the facilities of Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment in Bac Ninh - phase 1 is 100 billion VND.
Regarding the proposal of the University of Natural Resources and Environment, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Le Xuan Loi said that the project has been approved for investment policy, requesting the school to coordinate with the Management Board of Civil Projects and Urban Development of Bac Ninh province No. 2 to implement contents related to compensation and site clearance.
Mr. Le Xuan Loi assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Department of Finance and relevant agencies and units to coordinate and guide to speed up the procedures for implementing the Foreign Trade University project in Bac Ninh and university projects in the area south of Song Cau. Strive to start construction as soon as possible in the first quarter of 2026.
In the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form university urban areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi Capital to move to or build branches in the province.
This locality aims to become one of the leading training, research and development centers of the country.
Many major universities such as: Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Foreign Trade have been building campuses in Bac Ninh province.
